Privacy policy

Any personal information you provide, including your e-mail address, will not be passed on to any third party (other than any contractors working on our behalf) except:

1. If you wish to access our Liberal Democrat party members-only forum you will be asked for some personal information, including your party membership number. This information is passed into a piece of software provided by the Liberal Democrats that responds simply to say whether or not you are currently a member of the party, and this will be used to permit or deny you access to the forum. Lib Dem Voice is not given access to the party’s membership records and is not provided with any information from them other than “is a member” or “is not a member”.

2. We may use information, such as the IP address you are using or the email address submitted with a comment, in order to prevent multiple voting in online polls or to help detect or deter faked comments. These preventative measures may include comparing data with other sites which are also willing to share data in such circumstances.

3. If we are required to do so by law.
